Here's the counterpart to my cold cast bronze dragon skull, this one cast in tinted resin with no metal content, and then finished to look like old, weathered bone. The piece is about 6.5" x 4.5" and 1" deep; I used the picture here with my hand to give a better idea of the size. Unlike the bronze casting, this one is finished with a matte protective spray to keep the bony look intact. These wall hangings are available from my Etsy store.
Here's the cold cast bronze version:
Love the detail you put into this piece. The spiky bones are brilliantly carves, and the piece has beautiful layering. Lovely piece!
Holy boob! that is so cool o: So, next up is going to make a huge one to hang over your fireplace, right?
Perhaps! That'd be a fun challenge.
yep, and then you can tell your grandchildren about how there used to be dragons when you were young and that you slayed one and placed it's skull on your fireplace My gad, we should all change the history books and convince everyone to join in on a massive roleplay where we mess up the minds of the next generation making them believe that there was some great war or something and that the dragons and fairies and elves died there or something xD
So cool! Great job! :-D
Very nice. You have the texture of bone really pegged, i love how your "fake old bones" look!
Oh wow! If I didn't know better, I'd have sworn it was actual bone. Very nice work there, Nightlyre!
