Getting there! Since the newest two request sketches involved two very cool creatures, Halloween seemed the perfect time to get them posted. C'mon, a fourteen-legged wolf beast and a beautifully freaky undead dragon? You guys are spoiling me.

Oh, and how cool is this? As a thank you for her request, eve-hawk wrote a story based on one of my pieces! The art is my interpretation of the darkspawn first approaching the Archdemon from Dragon Age... you can see the image here. The story she wrote takes it several steps further, delving into an alternate-universe reality from the point of view of the dragon itself. It can be found here.  Whether you're a Dragon Age fan or not, it stands alone as a very cool story.

If anyone happens to be in the vicinity, my husband and I shall be found touting our wares at the Tucson Comic Con this weekend (Nov. 3-4th). If you can't make it but want to see what we have, most of it is available from our Red Nebula Studios store, while handmade critters like the 'goyles can be found at my Etsy store, SarrahCreates. Mind, I'll have to temporarily shut down the Etsy store for the weekend since my handmade critters will be coming with us to the show, but it'll be back up and running next week.

And now for the status update!

Details on the request rules can be found on the previous journal entry. Requests are currently closed for strategic catching-up purposes.

You did wonderfully, and you honor me so by doing the work you did. I'm so flattered you enjoyed the idea! :aww: You've been doing a lot lately with these, and it's going to be so fun to see them all together. You are definitely an amazing artist and an ever better person; I'm so glad I found you on here.

Thank you - I'm pleased you like how it turned out. This one was fun. I had to turn the paper upside-down a few times to make sure the bottom "jaw" looked correct. Still intrigued by the idea. Very cool and creepy/sad all at the same time!

You're most welcome! And that's awesome. :XD: I know this is going to sound semi-cocky of myself, but I'm glad I came up with an original idea that works, however creepy/sad/awesome it turned out to be.
I tend to lack a little with creativity. :XD:

Yay, more Nightlyre art! Very cool and Halloween appropriate. :-D

Thanks so much for the mention! *happy blush* It was incredible fun writing it, and actually jogged me out of a block I'd been battling for awhile. Gotta love Urthemiel. ;) I'd still like to tackle those other pieces as well, though with today being the start of NaNoWriMo I'm gonna be hopping!

Best of luck in Tucson! Wish I could drive down and see you there!

Tucson was fun - and it's getting bigger. Not PHXCC big, but still!

Excellent! I'll have to check it out one of these years... last year was only the first time I ever went to a con of *any* kind, and it was PHXCC. :-D

Well, if you had to pick just one AZ convention, PHXCC is definitely the way to go. Glad it was your first - it really is a one-of-a-kind experience!

I really like being able to see all these thumbnail versions together. There is a lot of interesting stuff here; especially the ones for dragonrider292 and Zealith. (...but I still like mine the best! :-) )

The thumbs add a lot of real estate to the journal post... but they're worth it. Gah... I like them all! Loving the challenge of some of them.
